Students in the Chula Vista Elementary School District experience a rigorous 21st Century learning environment that is rooted in effective teaching practices and high-quality instruction. Our mission is to nurture every child's imagination, intellect, and sense of inquiry. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, we tap a collective intelligence rich with the spirit and creativity necessary for students to become difference makers in our community.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District’s (CVESD) Sound Station received the Innovate Honorable Mention Award from the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) during the 23rd Annual Innovation in Education Awards ceremony on May 14, 2026.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District’s goal is to foster a sense of shared responsibility and accountability, supporting the home-school connection and ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students (Goal 5 of the LCAP). As part of the district-wide initiative to increase family engagement, CVESD has a Parent Ambassador Program to strengthen partnerships among families, schools, and the district.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) has been recognized with the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Award from The NAMM Foundation, honoring the district’s outstanding commitment to music education and equitable access to the arts for all students.
